An Evening Out in Winchester

I had planned an evening out with my work colleagues in Winchester for a Christmas meal. 30 of us all ate together at Winchester Cathedral Visitor's Centre, the food and the service was excellent, and all my colleagues and I had a wonderful evening.

Relaxing in Winchester

A peaceful plasce to just walk around and look. Everything is in walking distance, with the added bonus of a fruit and vegatable market selling local produce at much less than the supermarkets!

Overnight Stop at the Winchester Hotel

This hotel has a great location for the city centre being a short walk from all the attractions. The rooms are extremely well fitted with all the usual comforts and a few extra as well. The fitness suite was great. Prezza Italian Restaurant is big enough to have a real buzz and contemporary in decor and ambience. The food here is first rate and the staff and service is excellent. The menu choice is wide and does not disappoint. The Albion Pub on a corner near the hotel is a great place to stop in for a nightcap after a night out in the town. There's a nice easy going atmosphere and the feel of a real 'local.' Plenty of character.

Winchester Break

The Winchester Hotel is superb, a great location for the city,excellent accommodation, facilities, food and staff. Just a warning about car parking-the hotel car park was closed at the time of my visit and a ticket had been issued in the time it took me to check in!

Great Friday and Saturday in Winchester

My husband and I were ready for a break and I must say we loved Winchester and the Cathederal tour was so interesting. Everyone was friendly and it had a lovely atmosphere.We were very lucky with the weather too.
