Very dated, dirty, scruffy hotel. Needs investment & refurbishment. Outdoor patio could be lovely bu in need of TLC. Indoor pool very dirty & changing rooms filthy. Only plus is the good location of hotel to seafront.

Our Stay at the Grosvenor

We had a fantastic time. Typical English seaside break, the kind that brings back happy childhood memories. Our only gripe with the hotel - we had a family room which had a television on a wall bracket above a single bed that presumably children are expected to sleep in. I have to say is was extremely worrying so we removed the mattress and used it on the floor as we were unable to move the whole bed. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel every day of our stay and can guarantee that the 3 stars were earned on this alone. The food was absolutely stunning and the chef is the hotels biggest asset. HAving said that, the facilites were also very good and the accommodation was on the whole fine.

Overall the hotel was good. Location good. Cleanliness and furnishings excellent. Breakfast could have been better organised ie: slow to refill buffet. Looked sad!! My only complaint would be that we were caught up in 'turkey and tinsel' and were not forewarned. We felt October to be a little too early for this!!
