Upgraded to first class rail - free. Trains on time no journey problems. Hotel was very good in every way. Highly recomended. Nice room. Great breakfast. Excellent value for money. Only criticism - not keen on giving credit card details as gaurantee when not intending to use it.

We totally enjoyed relaxing at the hotel it was absolutely wonderful. We went into Bristol itself and had a walk around and went shopping at Cribbs Causeway to spend birthday money. Time well spent, We had a wonderful weekend and would like to return to the hotel as soon as we can arrange it.

For a great day out in Bristol we can recommend staying at the Bristol Royal Marriot Hotel, situated on the College Green, right next to the cathedral. From there it is an easy walk through the exciting Millennium Square to the waterfront.A stroll along the quayside takes you to the SS Great Britain. This is a truly remarkable ship. The excellent audio guides give an insight into how it must have been to travel to Australia at the turn of the century...First Class or Steerage! After our visit, we took the opportunity to explore some more of Bristol's history; clambering up the ancient Christmas Steps, once the main route to Wales;visiting the Tudor Red House and the Georgian House. Both these beautiful and fascinating houses belong to the City Council and we thought deserved to more widely advertised, especially as they are free. After all the history we felt in need of a cup of tea and by chance lighted on the Guild House tea room. This is housed in an amazing shop; full of modern and innovative furniture, crafts and objects of all kinds. It made a real contrast to the ornate furnishings of both the Tudor House and SS Great Britain. The tea was excellent too!

We are 6 working mums who like to stay in a nice hotel, with good service and be pampered, the Marriott Royal Hotel in Bristol was perfect. It was very central for shopping, eating, Bella Italia was brilliant and we felt safe when walking around at night. We shopped at Cribbs Shopping Centre which we travelled to by taxi. We found this easiest as it is slightly out of town. Altogether a brilliant weekend. Thank you Superbreak who we book all our trips through.

The Bristol Marriot Royal Hotel. What a welcome, gret car park safe and sound at a reasonable rate. The staff at reception were so knowledable and booked our restaurant for us - with NO pressure to eat in the Hotel. Sunday Evening in the Hotel all 'restauranted out'so just had a sandwich - wow so good and filling.
