Myself and my family took a short break at the Imperial hotel (4 star) in Blackpool, the hotel oozes old world oppulence and charm (although some of the decor is a bit dated and in need of minor referbishment)Overall the staff were excellent and we thouroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is close enough to the town centre to walk in about 15 to 20 mins along the seafront or hop on one of the frequent trams. If you are driving watch out fot the speed cameras, they appear to be everywhere as I found to my cost !

McFly at Blackpool

Myself and sister took my daughter and neice to see McFly in Blackpool Whilst they were watching the show we ate at La Fontana Italian which was just round the corner and had been recommended by a very helpful bar maid at our hotel. We came back straight after breakfast as we had to be in Carlisle by 11.15 so unfortunately we saw very little of Blackpool

Blackpool is Blackpool you either love it or you hate it It was a great weekend break for the kids, not too busy as it was low season but still plenty to do without the hussle and bustle.

Imperial Hotel

Room too small, a light bulb missing, trouser press didn't work. and curtains difficult to close, no milk!! All reported but apart from milk nothing done We were at the Blackpool Magic Convention which was too busy and too big, with shows that lasted too long.
